GAYDON ALLOTMENTS HOME PAGE
At the moment, Gaydon Allotments is simply an idea in the heads of fifteen local
residents. We have no land but hope that Gaydon Parish Council will provide us
with allotments.
Up to about twenty five years ago
there were allotments in Gaydon and their history goes back a long way. The site
of the previous allotments was in the fields just off Pimple Lane. Prior to that
the allotments were situated just off the Kineton Road.
The purpose of this site is to inform local residents of the progress we are
making with allotments in Gaydon. The main page for that is "News and Events" in
the left hand column. On the Who's Who page we list the current association
officers; feel free to contact them if you require any further information.
Over the next few months we will build a set of "how to grow ....." pages
which will help allotment holders and gardeners in general to grow vegetables,
herbs and fruit to tip-top standards. The advice given will come from
experienced gardeners and it will be real world advice in simple to understand
terms. If you feel you can contribute by writing an article then let us know.
Start your tour around our site by clicking on the
Allotment Diary, the index
page to all information and articles.
There will also be other gardening technique pages such as composting etc.
Finally, having advised you how to grow superb crops, we will get round to
telling you how to eat them in our recipes section. If you have veggie based
recipes you can recommend and want to share, then click the Contact Us button at
the top of the page and send us you recipe.
